Exploring technical and social constructs around token design and collectibility.
Inspired by performances we often see in public spaces like airports and malls, Public Piano is an NFT collection where the art is a composition of different artists taking turns "playing the keys" and expressing themselves.

NFTs are designed to ensure a creator’s original metadata is permanent. But what if this was not the case? Enter Public Piano, where the piano player and owner of token id 0 can arbitrarily update and modify the metadata of all NFTs in the collection.
Each artist has the opportunity to express themselves. They then must send token id 0 to someone new to play the keys.
Celebrating expression, each artist is free to use the tokens however they choose. They may start a new cycle of art or build on an existing one. With that, a poet expresses themselves differently than a musician and Public Piano will be a collection of different art styles.
Playing the piano is a great opportunity to showcase your work to the Pob community.
